Peter Paul Pierce, age 82, left this earth to be with the Heavenly Father on September 28, 2016.
His father Berlyn Pierce, his mother Berry Pierce, and daughters Kelley and Lauri preceded him in death.
He is survived by wife Mary A. Pierce, sisters Candy Stephens and Sandra Drahos. He has been blessed with two stepchildren, Christopher Thoms from Idaho, and Michael Thoms and his wife Jessica Thoms of Arizona. His grandchildren are Brianna, Evann, Andrew, Erica, Tyler, Chloe, and Madelyn.
Mr. Pierce graduated from Stanford University in 1956. During his time at Stanford and for the past 60 years, he was a member of Chi Psi. After college, he worked several years in the family business, which was Pierce Wrapping Company in Chicago. He moved to Arizona in 1973 and into the insurance business until 2014. While being active in the insurance business he became President of the Scottsdale Insurance Association, a member of the Arizona Arabian Association, and President of the Kiwanis.
Visitation will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, October 7, 2016 with services at 10:00 am at Good Shepherd of the Hills 6502 E. Cave Creek Rd, Cave Creek, AZ 85331. In lieu of flowers, a donation is requested to the church.
