Mrs. Jacqueline “Jacque” Peterson King, 84, passed away Saturday, February 6th, 2021 at The Magnolia in Clinton.
A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, February 10th at 2 PM at the Clinton Cemetery with Dr. Ray Ammons officiating and the family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
Born in 1936 in Sampson County, Jacque was the daughter of the late Alvah Allen and Willie Frank Owen Peterson and the widow of Jesse Bryant King, Jr.
Jacque was a devoted wife and mother and a much loved “Nana” to her eight grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church and spent many years in accounting where she was able to work for David Mclemore, CPA. If she wasn’t working or spending time with family you could find her working in her yard. She lived a simple life but was passionate about assisting and serving others behind the scenes.
Jacque is survived by her son: Mike King and wife, Pam of Raleigh; two daughters: Frankie King Sutter and husband, Chris of Clinton and Mitzi King Gibb and husband, Larry of Wake Forest; grandchildren: Davis King, Gray Sutter, Sammy Sutter, Ally Sutter, Kristen Gibbs Kratovil and husband, Michael and Tyler Gibbs and wife, Eleni; great-grandchild, Reagan Kratovil; sister-in-law, Ann Peterson and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jacque was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Peterson Barber, brother, Daniel Jefferson Peterson, brother-in-Law, Ronald Barber and great nephew Andrew Warren.
