Mrs. May was born in Staunton, Virginia on May 1, 1934, a daughter of the late Gaston Oma Eutsler and Virginia (Snead) Eutsler Sutler.
Betty was a member of Victory Worship Center and she retired from Western State Hospital. She was a homemaker, enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. May was preceded in death by three sisters, Fervine Johnson, Toby Burris, and Evelyn Michael.
Mrs. May was the last surviving of her immediate family.
Surviving is a daughter, LaDonna L. Price and her husband Ray of Stuarts Draft; two sons, Earl Richard McCary and his wife Barbara of Hermitage and Perry Stuart Gaddy of North Carolina; five grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
