ELIZABETH A. VARGA, AGE 94, FRANKLIN Published 1/1/98 Elizabeth A. Varga died Monday at Knox Community Hospital, Mount Vernon, Ohio. She was 94. She was born in Vanderbilt, Pa., and lived most of her life in the Somerset section of Franklin before moving to the home of her daughter in Utica, Ohio. She retired several years ago after 25 years with the Rutgers Alumni-Faculty Center, New Brunswick. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Byzantine Catholic Church, New Brunswick, and a member of its Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department. Her husband, Andrew Sr., died in 1958. A son, Andrew Jr., died in 1989. Three brothers and five sisters also are deceased. Surviving are a daughter, Carol Gage of Utica, Ohio, and a sister, Ann Arnold of Trenton. Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday from the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton St., Somerset, followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Joseph Byzantine Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick.
