Peter Sutton's will is dated January 23, 1827 and is filed/recorded in the Indiana County, PA Courthouse, along with a codicil, dated January 6, 1829. On May 2, 1829, his last will and testament and codicil were proved and letters testamentary were issued. Thus, Peter Sutton died in early 1829, and not in 1830 as shown on the gravestone erected a long time after his death.
