Lydia Ann Miller, age 97, of rural Middleburg, passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, surrounded by her family.
She was born March 31, 1923, in Stark County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Valentine C. and Rebecca King Schlabach. On Feb. 10, 1944, she married Jonas N. Miller, who preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 2011.
Lydia enjoyed spending time with her family, preparing good meals and quilt making. She also loved gardening and planting flowers. Of all, Lydia's home-cooked meals will be missed the most.
Everyone who knew Lydia would not hesitate to say she was the sweetest lady they ever met.
Surviving are 10 children and their spouses Paul and Ruth Miller, Ohio, Leander and Sara Miller, Ohio, Martha Miller, Pennsylvania, Mable Somers, Kentucky, Mary and Aden Miller, Ohio; Leon and Hannah Miller, Pennsylvania, Owen and Julie Miller, Ohio, Elsie and Peter Fehr, Florida, Rachel and Dave Raber, South Carolina, and Steve and Jamie Miller of Pennsylvania; daughter-in-law Ruth Miller, Ohio; 42 grandchildren, 157 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister.
She was preceded in death by son Lloyd Miller; son-in-law Seth Somers; one grandchild; one great-great-grandchild; three brothers and four sisters.
