Bill L. Kelley, age 94, passed away on February 4, 2021. He was born in Oklahoma City on April 25th, 1926, to Loman and Velma Kelley.

Bill graduated from Putnam City High School on June 1st, 1944 and entered the Air Cadets Program while attending Putnam City. Bill enlisted in the Army Air Corps on November 20, 1944 and trained as a flight engineer on the B-17 bomber. Bill was stationed at the 5th Emergency Rescue Squadron at Keesler Field, Biloxi, Mississippi, and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant on July 20th, 1946. He attained the rank of Second Lieutenant in the Air Force Reserves. He loved being a pilot and owned several airplanes over his lifetime.

After leaving the Army, Bill enrolled at the Oklahoma City University and graduated in 1949 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business. In 1950, Bill was hired by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a Special Agent and was assigned field offices in Cincinnati, OH, Columbus, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, Huntington, WV, Oklahoma City, OK, and Dallas, TX. He had a distinguished career including apprehending three fugitives on the FBI's top ten most wanted list. Bill retired from the FBI in 1976 and began his new career in the oil and gas business with the help of two partners, a petroleum engineer and a CPA.

Bill was an avid runner, quail hunter, and trout fisherman. He loved the outdoors and his trained bird dogs, especially Betsy. Bill loved his family and enjoyed travelling with them. He also enjoyed attending the conventions for the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI with his wife, Carol. They have wonderful memories of many ocean cruises together particularly the Greek Islands. He loved boating and fishing on Grand Lake as well.

Bill was predeceased by his son, Gene Allen Kelley; brother, Keith Kelley; sister, Virginia Brown; and great grandson Trevor Voyles. Bill is survived by his wife, Carol Wright Kelley; daughters, Debbie Ballard (Lin), Connie Kelley (Barney), and Susan Wright Mogilka (Henry); grandchildren: Ian Wright Aldridge (Claire), Ricky Hoyt (Johnna), Monique and Kelley Mogilka, Hollie Teter (Greg), and April Voyles (Jeff); great-grandchildren: Ava and Apollo Aldridge, Scott Barker, Katelyn Hoyt, Colton and Garrett Teter, and Dakota Voyles; and great-great grandchildren, Trevor and Jasper Barker.
