Polly attended Barstow High School, graduated 1972 and soon after started raising her three girls. She resided in Barstow most of her life where she contributed so much to her family and community. Polly met Vince Wright while working for Barstow Unified School District.
She was known as a hardworking, generous woman, and cared deeply for the animals, particularly her three dachshunds. She volunteered in her community through the Freemason's and other local charities.
Polly was an avid quilter and seamstress, she annually sent out home-made pajamas and dresses to her family. It was always a special gift to receive a quilt made by her.
She loved music and dance. Line-dancing was a favorite of hers, and her family remembers her disco days. Polly's musical tastes ranged from Motown to Country, requesting "Kool and the Gang" even in her final days.
Her family remembers her as an independent, hardworking and honest woman. She valued her work ethic and put everything she has into every job. She made sure to pass these virtues to her daughters.
Polly May was preceded in death by her husband: Vincent Wright, brother; Albert Halstead, stepfather; Bill Wayne Richardson, and granddaughter Ashley Munger. She is survived by her three daughters, Belynda Jauss, Brandyewine Lanier-Munger, and Bobbie Moran her grandchildren; Chelsye Clay, Brina Robinson, Breanna Beamer, Joseph Munger, Taylor Moran, Jaedin Munger, Sidnee Campbell, and Cody Moran; seven great grandchildren, sisters; Anette Coxen, Linda Upperman, Kitty Halstead, Cindy Cunningham, Jackie Renfro and many more family members and loving friends.
Graveside services will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park in Barstow, California, on February 18, 2021.
