James E. Lynn, 79, of Easton, passed away at Memorial Medical Center, in Springfield, at 7:43 p.m., on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.
He was born July 15, 1941, in Lincoln, Illinois, to Addison and Gladys (Riggins) Lynn. He married Mary Miller on October 9, 1960. She survives.
Mr. Lynn is survived by his wife, Mary; two children, Sharon (David) Wananaker and Sandra Lynn; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are four siblings, Kenneth Lynn, Mary Lou Fehrenbacher, Anna Mae Held and Linda (Brooks) McDaniel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five siblings, Clair Lynn, Jack Lynn, Walter Lynn, Robert Lynn, Logan Lynn and Richard Lynn; as well as one son, Steven Lynn.
Mr. Lynn was a member of the Christian Church in Table Grove. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and riding his Kubota around his yard. He was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan. He had worked for Adwell Corp., F/S, Leveldale Farms, Virden Himmel Construction, Nelson Construction and Monsanto. He also enjoyed farming and spending time with his great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the services, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Mason City Cemetery. Rev. Tim Lindsay will officiate.
Memorial contribution may be made to the Shriners or towards cancer research.
