Betty was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt and a friend to many. She was a faithful member of Freedom Worship Center in Granite City, IL. Betty was also a member of Independent Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.) and Juanita Rebekah Lodge 477 in Granite City, IL. She owned and operated Barnett Pest Control in Madison, IL for many years. Betty never met a stranger and she was always willing to lend a helping hand. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Betty loved life, she loved to laugh, but most of all she loved her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded by her husband Phil Barnett on December 22, 2006; two sons, Gene and Paul Barnett; one brother, Grant Willman; and by one sister, Lela Hendrix.
She is survived by her loving children, Linda (Harold) Mattingly of Elizabethtown, KY, Carl (Bonnie) Barnett of Collinsville, IL, Rickey Barnett of Pontoon Beach, IL, Verna (John) Gall of Madison, IL and Shirley (James) Crain of Madison, IL; dear siblings, Jack (Maryann) Willman of Shell Knob, MO, Ronnie (Melveen) Willman of Cassville, MO, Lena Thomas of Edwardsville, IL and Loretta Seipp of Madison, IL; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In celebration of her life, a private visitation and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Freedom Worship Center, Granite City, IL, with Pastor Gary Cook officiating.
Betty will be laid to rest next to Phil at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, IL.
