Kevin Banks Memorial Scheduled For Thursday
Services for Kevin Banks, 30, Tyler, are scheduled for 1 p. m. Thursday at New Holland Baptist Church with the Rev. W. Pringle officiating under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co., Tyler.
Mr. Banks died Sep. 26 in Austin.
He was born May 23, 1973 in Tyler.
He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and received his bachelor's degree from University of Houston. He served in the Army and lived most of his life in Tyler, except for five years in Houston.
He was a retirement specialist for Aims Investment in Houston, and a member of New Holland Baptist Church and Heights Ionic Pride Lodge No. 280.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and uncle.
Survivors include his parents, Calvin and Ruby Banks, Tyler; brother, Rod Sanders, Oklahoma City, Okla.; and sisters Traketa Edwards, Dallas, and Chatrinia "Shun" Banks, Waxahachie.
Pallbearers are Charles Fuller, Charles Bagley, Tyrone McCray, Keith Lyles, Derrick Jones, Ivory Holiday, Dexter Johnson, Clay Bailey, Anthony Green And Willie Richardson.
Honorary Pallbearers are Derrick Edwards, Brian Banks and Wendell Haugabrooks.
