Mr. Jerry Allen Watkins, resident of Mabank, Texas, departed this life on Friday, February 5, 2021, at UT Health Tyler in Tyler, Texas, at the age of 65. Jerry was born in Phoenix, Arizona on March 19, 1955, the son of Luther Watkins and Amelia Belle (Faughn) Owens.

Mr. Watkins was a graduate of Wilmer Hutchins High School in Dallas, Texas, and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was employed as a production technician in the oil and gas industry, enjoyed tinkering, and was of the Church of Christ faith.

Mr. Watkins was preceded in death by his father, Luther Watkins; and his stepfather, Glen Owens.

He is survived by his mother, Amelia Belle Owens of Mabank, Texas; two sons, Dustin Watkins and wife, Elisa, of Mansfield, Texas, and Cayce Watkins and wife, Casey, of Lindale, Texas; a daughter, Catherine Bachman and husband, Bryant, of Richardson, Texas; three grandchildren, Sloane, Jackson, and Addison Watkins; his stepmother, Bobbie Watkins of Phoenix, Arizona; four half-siblings, Luke Watkins of Phoenix, Arizona, Ruth Blasco and husband, Keith, of Mabank, Texas, Hazel Brock and husband, Don, of Mexia, Texas, and Linda Ford and husband, Barry, of Phoenix, Arizona; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, in the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in McCrory with Mr. Tim Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Whitehall Cemetery near McCrory.

Friends may visit at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to service time.
