Our father, Russell Thomas Wilson, reunited with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to dwell in His Kingdom forever on January 31, 2021. He was born in Virginia to the late James Albert and Lillian Mae Wilson. Predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years, Erma Lee Wilson; son, Robert “Bubba” Wilson; siblings, Louise Douglas, Dorthey Mobley and James Wilson; great-grandson, Nathan Holt and son-in-law, James Turner. Left to cherish his memories are sons, Russell “Tommy” Jr., Ray, Ronnie, Ricky, Randy and Rodney; daughter, Brenda Turner; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Jerri Wilson; brother, James E. Wilson as well as a host of many loving relatives.

Dad provided well for his family laboring as a tugboat deckhand for most of his years. He was an extremely hard-working man with a kind, giving and nurturing heart. Dad had difficulties speaking amongst people, but we find great comfort knowing he will be able to speak faithfully to Our God Almighty.

There will be a visitation on Sunday, February 7, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 pm and a chapel funeral service on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 1:00pm with entombment in the mausoleum to follow. All services will be at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home at 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
