Brenda Gail Dawson was born on November 21st, 1952 in Tulsa OK to Jay Leonard Beck and Barbara Ruth Beck (Miller). She passed from this life on Thursday February 4th at her home in Henryetta.
She married Robert P. Dawson Jr. in Beggs, OK on April 10, 1973.
As a devoted wife and mother, she always made sure family came first. Brenda was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. She enjoyed gardening and canning. Brenda was quite versed at sewing and making clothes. She loved flowers and enjoyed taking pictures of them. She cherished having everything organized and took pride in cleaning. Most of all she loved her family very much.
She is preceded in death by her father Jay Beck.
Survivors include her husband Robert Dawson of the home, Mother Barbara Beck of Sand Springs, daughter Karri Mate and husband Michael of Beggs, son Robert Aaron Dawson and wife Rachel of Okemah, grandchildren Dylan Mate and wife Alexius of Beggs, Dallas Mate of Beggs, Cole Dawson of Okemah, Weston Dawson of Okemah, and Oliver Dawson of Okemah. Great grandchildren Zach Mate and Gus Mate of Beggs, brother Duane Beck and wife Cindy of Sand Springs, sister Lavinia Lincoln and husband Jerry of Sand Springs, sister Kellie West and husband Chris of Wisconsin, a brother-in-law Danny Dawson and wife Myrna of Beggs, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 11, at 10:00 A.M. at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Beggs with Pastor Brayden Buss officiating.
