Margaret had lived in Nacogdoches County Chireno,Texas for the last 19 years.She was a longtime resident of the Dayton area and while living there was employed as a teacher in the Barbers Hill School District.She was teaching 9 different grades in a one-room-schoolhouse in Old River for 2 years.Mrs.Dugat taught school for a total of 21 years before retiring.

Margaret received her Education Degree from the University of Houston and had also attended the Sam Houston Normal School in Huntsville,Texas;now known as Sam Houston State University.She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association.

Margaret was a Charter Member of the Old River Baptist Church.She was currently a member of the Martinsville Baptist Church in Chireno,Texas.

Margaret enjoyed working with her hands,with gardening,crocheting and sewing being among her favorites.She also enjoyed raising chickens.

In loving memory of Margaret Dugat age 96 years.She passed away Wednesday at the Memorial Hospital.Funeral services were held Saturday September 9,2006 at 2:00 p.m. the Old River Baptist Church with Rev.Danny Biddy and Rev.Ronnie Sowell officiating.

Visitation was Friday September 8,2006 6:00 8:00 p.m. at the Sterling Funeral Home.Burial under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton.

Pallbearers were Steven Dugat,Anthony Dugat,Mark Dugat,Darrell Dugat,Larry Dugat Jr.,Eularian Dugat and Doug Dugat.Honorary Pallbearers were Tom Greene,Jimmy Martin,Rick Kovach,Steve Lowery,Coy Farmer,Greg Vincent,Chris Kloster,Paige Funderburk and John Pillot.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to:Hospice In The Pines Lufkin,Texas in the memory of Margaret Cole Dugat.
