Kevin A. Burk, 57, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021 at York Hospital, after a heroic battle with COVID-19. He was the loving husband of Stephanie (Musotto) Burk, together they shared over 33 years of marriage, and over 40 years together. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Kevin was a son of Dorothy L. ‘Lynn’ (Wright) Burk of Catonsville, MD, and the late Albert Burk Sr.
Kevin worked in the computer software industry for many years while also exploring numerous other jobs, passions, and adventures. In his younger years, Kevin was a competitive wrestler and he enjoyed playing and watching numerous sports. He was his daughters' biggest fan as he supported them during their sporting events, always with a video camera in hand. His daughters will always be grateful for the unwavering love he showed them, the lessons he taught them, and his competitive spirit that was instilled in them.
He was a lifelong adventurer who always had stories to tell. He was passionate about traveling especially to America's National Parks and his most beloved family destination, Ocean City, MD. Kevin was also an avid poker player and enjoyed visiting casinos around the country. He always enjoyed playing board and card games with his family, as long as everyone was playing to win.
Kevin was a loving husband, father, brother, son, and friend. His most proud accomplishment was becoming a grandpa. He was whole-heartedly devoted to his three-year old grandson, who was his pride and joy, and was eager to welcome a much-anticipated second grandson this May.
Surviving in addition to his beloved wife are two children, Ashton N. Barry and her husband, Patrick of York, and grandson, Wesley Barry; Camryn T. Burk of Glen Rock and her significant other Gerard Gibson; three brothers, Albert Burk Jr. and his wife, Jill of Easton, PA, David Burk of Ocean City, MD, and Steven Burk and his wife, Tammy of Tempe, AZ; and his sister-in-law Melissa Musotto and her fiance Page Shumaker. Kevin was loved by many and will be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the numerous doctors, nurses, and medical professionals who lovingly cared for Kevin over the past few weeks. We commend their dedication and tireless efforts.
