Lt. Col. Anthony Neal “Tony” Harris, age 51 of Rock Hill South Carolina passed away January 27, 2021.

He was born September 15, 1969in Rock Hill to Wendell and Catherine Harris.



In addition to his parents Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his grandparents William J. Harris and Lucille Harris, one brother Donald G. Lucas and a nephew Corey Lucas.



After graduating from Winthrop University, he joined the Clover, SC National Guard from there enlisted into the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Bragg in the airborne division. He served two tours in Korea, while serving in combat during the Iraq War, airborne/field artillery unit he earned a bronze star,

He retired at Fort Jackson as the Inspector General. Tony was a adventurous world traveler, loved camping, animals and his family and friends.



Survivors include his sister Lisa A. Harris of Lake Wylie, one brother: Alan B. Harris of Laurens SC, one niece: Kim McConnell of Rock Hill, Cousins: Eddie and Brenda Guy, Jimmy and Debbie Hollis, his best friend Max, several Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.



Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Saturday February 6, 2021at Westminster Presbyterian Church, the family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30pm until 1:30pm. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park with military honors.
