On APRIL 28, 2024:

UNLINKED FROM JOSEPH BRYAN

Find A Grave Memorial #189865540

Easther/Hester UNKNOWN, born about 1720, was a daughter of .....

Easther/Hester UNKNOWN married first to Joseph Hampdon/Hampton.

Easther/Hester UNKNOWN Hampdon/Hampton married second to Joseph Bryan, Sr. during or before 1736.

**See DAR Comment below.

-----

NOTES:

Her first name many have been Easther.

**Shown in some Ancestry.com trees.

Her maiden name may have been Hampton.

LDS Hester Hampton - LXSK-52B shows:

Born: 1721, Spotsylvania, Virginia, British Colonial America

Died: November 19, 1741, Frederick, Virginia, British Colonial America

**May or may not be accurate.

First marriage to Joseph Hampdon/Hampton:

**May or may not be accurate.

**If her maiden name was Hampdom/Hampton, then she might not have married Joseph Hampdon/Hamptom.

From Courtney Wright on July 31, 2023:

"Death date of 1737 makes sense if she died due to childbirth and as her husband remarried in the same county shortly after."

From Harry T. Bryan on August 24, 2023:

If Martha was born in 1736, then her mother would have been Joseph's first wife, Hester.

From Susan B on March 16, 2024:

Suggests Hester UNKNOWN Bryan was Martha's mother.

**No source doucment provided.

From janicet on April 27, 2024:

From DAR Patriot Index, page 96, UPDATED

NOTE: [Hester sic] no longer able to be documented by the DAR genealogists.

*****

There are a lot of different opinions about the marriage order or Joseph Bryan, Sr. and therefore, a lot of different opinions regarding his children, Martha and Rebecca Boone. If someone can provide the correct mother for these girls, then I will be happy to make the changes. For now, I will leave them as they stand.
