She worked briefly at Fitch’s Hospital in the Bronx before marrying Buzzy on February 4th (Dad’s Birthday) and starting her family. They moved to Brewster in 1960 to raise their family. She returned to work part time when Dad retired from the Police Department in 1975. Virginia began working at the local grocery store Kobacker’s. When full time employment was needed She began her career at Putnam County Savings Bank, where she retired from. In her retirement years Virginia enjoyed spending time with her family, doing word searches and reminiscing about her younger years. Throughout her life Mom was known to be Very independent and strong willed often making driving trip from Fl to NY to help her family. Virginia always let you know what she was thinking like it or not, she was the boss. But most of all she will be remembered for her smile and her laugh, she loved surprises.

Virginia was a devout Catholic and a longtime parishioner of St Lawrence O’Toole, in Brewster, where she taught CCD, was a eucharistic minister and an active part of the Mothers Guide. She enjoyed her time there, playing Bingo and making sure everyone was doing their job (being the boss) and asking for candy. She enjoyed socials especially if they were having ice cream. Staffed loved her New York accent and her sarcasm.

A funeral Mass will take place at St. James Parish on Academy Drive, Conway SC 29526 on Thursday February 4th at 11:00am. A livestream of the services will be available, details to be announced. Final resting place will be at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Brewster, NY
