He was born in Brooklyn on July 21, 1927, to Jeanette (Rullo) and Eugene Baribault Sr.
He served in the Navy during World War II and in the Korean conflict and later enjoyed a 22 year career with the Nassau County Police Department. He retired as a detective with the NCPD Fourth Squad. A former resident of Lynbrook, he had lived on the North Fork since 1983.
Predeceased by his wife, Susan, in 2000, he is survived by his son, Robert, of Kings Park, and a brother, Arthur, of Arizona.
Interred in St. Patrick's R.C. Cemetery, Southold.
