Sally Ann was married to Chester Combs Taylor, Kelsey Earl Desparios, Albert Edwin Johnson and Paul Pinkley. She had children by all of her husbands except for Mr. Pinkley. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, raised her children in Omaha, Nebraska and moved to Sapulpa, Oklahoma prior to her death from pancreatic cancer in 1997. In total, she had 8 children, 7 of whom grew to adulthood and had families of their own. One child from her first marriage was stillborn.
