Born March 5, 1951 in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Windsor and Flossie (Bell) Jones.
Bruce had been a maintenance worker for St. Johnsville Housing Authority for the past 6 years. Prior to that, he was a supervisor for the former DUI in Schenectady for over 10 years.
He enjoyed boating, fishing and bowling. Bruce found the most pleasure while spending time with family and at the numerous cookouts.
He was predeceased by his parents as well as a brother, Jeff Jones, in 2020.
Left to cherish his wonderful memories are his wife, Cindy (Palmatier) Jones, whom he married April 5, 1969; his children: Kathy (Dranston) Newcomer of Texas, Eileen Jones of Richmondville and Rodney (Tammy) Jones of St. Johnsville; his siblings: Sharon (LeRoy) Marshall and Brenda Jones all of South Carolina and Mike Jones of Worcester, NY; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in South Valley Cemetery.
