Paula Berry, age 65 of Edgemont, Arkansas, went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Conway Regional Hospital. She was born May 3, 1955 in Meadville, Mississippi to the late Paul Johnson Hardin and Beulah Estelle Clapp Hardin. She attended Sunny Slope Baptist Church in Edgemont.

Paula went through life living every minute to the fullest. To know her was to know a friend. She always had a kind word and a smile for everyone. Her sunny personality was the bright spot in any room. She had a caregiver’s heart. She was always looking for ways to help out and lend a hand. For over 30 years she served the community diligently through her profession as a scrub tech in the operating rooms at both Baptist Health Medical Center and Ozark Health Medical Center. Throughout this career Paula has touched the lives of countless people and made many friends.

Family was one of Paula’s top priorities. Whether she was cooking a family meal or flying across the country for a visit, family time was of the utmost importance. She was the biggest fan in the stands, and the Nanna you could count on to be there. Paula always enjoyed visiting her family in Mississippi and made it a point to visit on the first Sunday in May whenever she could. She had a musical heart and loved to sing with her sister, Glenda, at church. Paula’s church family was a second family to her. She always enjoyed outings and events with her church. Her faith was a focal point in her life.

Paula is survived by one daughter, Renee Michelle Smith (Jeffery) of Edgemont, Arkansas; one son, Adam Stewart Berry (Tara) of Fort Lee, Virginia; one sister, Glenda Marie Hardin of Edgemont, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Alyssa Smith, Mandy Smith, Mallory Smith, and Lucas Berry; Michael Stewart Berry; and many friends.

Paula’s funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 7, 2021, at Sunny Slope General Baptist Church with Brother Brian Harlan officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time. Interment will be in Sunny Slope Cemetery following the service.
