This family moved from Massachusetts to Vermont where they thought they would be in British territory, but when the peace came, the farm was still in Vermont in US territory.

Since the Eddy's were loyal to the British Crown, they moved again northward to farm at Clarenceville, Quebec.

After Daniel's discharge from Major A Roger's Regiment 24 December 1783 at St. Jean Quebec (Lower Canada) he and his family moved to Oakland Township, Brant County where many descendants settled in the surrounding area.
