Carolyn loved to grow cactus and other succulents. She enjoyed raising domestic birds including peacocks, geese, ringneck pheasants, and finches. Zane Grey was her favorite author, and "Wildwood Flower" was her favorite song. She had four children with her husband Jacob: Jacob Earl III, Gordon Worth, Tammy Lee, and Brent Gamble. Her only grandchild, Eleanor Rose, loved her grandma very dearly. Carolyn passed away at home with her husband.
