VERONA, Cyrus G. Noble Sr., 86, of Route A. a retired foreman at Revere's Rome Division, died Wednesday at Rose Hospital.
Born Aug 19, 1891, in Rome, he was the son of Harry and Clarinda Greene Noble. On Oct 10, 1925, he married the former Beatrice Bromley in Verona. He attended Rome schools and was employed at Revere 44 years, retiring in 1959 as foreman of the tube mill.
Mr. Noble also owned and operated a dairy farm. He is a member of the Verona United Methodist Church, of the Sconondoa Masonic Lodge and the County Cooperative Extension.
Surviving besides his wife are four son, Clifford Noble of Westmoreland, Archer Noble of Vernon, Cyrus Noble Jr and Richard Noble, both of Verona; one daughter, Mrs. Marlow (Claire) Edwards of Rome; four brothers, Fred Noble of Syracuse, Claude Noble of Clinton, Robert Noble of Florida and Stuart Noble of Verona; two sisters, Mrs. Irma Starkings and Miss Lois Noble both of Rome; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Prince and Boyd Funeral home, Rome. Burial will be in Lowell Cemetery. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Verona United Methodist Church.
