Eric Wayne Horton, 17, route two, died at 4:10 a.m. Saturday at the home of his father, 916 W. Second Street.


Dr. Gerald Hamilton, Jefferson County Coroner, ruled the cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.


Horton was a native of Jefferson County and a student at Madison Consolidated High School.
