George Howard Alexander, Jr., 68, of Hatfield, PA; formerly of Roslyn, PA went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Grand View Hospital.

He was the loving husband of Denise Gay (Fiscus) Alexander for 47 years. George was born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Ardsley, PA to the late George Howard Alexander, Sr. and the late Lillie Irene (Radcliffe) Alexander.

He graduated from Abington High School, class of 1971. George graduated Spring Garden College in Philadelphia with a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering.

He worked as a manufacturing engineer for the former FMC Corp in Colmar, PA, the former Del Val Mfg. in Willow Grove, PA, the former Ametek Inc Hunter Spring Division in Hatfield, PA, the former Betz Equipment Company in Horsham, PA, the former Zeks Air Drier Corp in Malvern, PA and other various local companies. In the early 2000’s, George began working as a facilities engineer for Holy Redeemer Hospital in Meadowbrook, PA and later for CBRE serving the Southeastern Pennsylvania areas.

He was a member of NRA.

As a young man, George played hockey as well as other sports. He would frequently visit the beach, ride his motorcycle, and enjoyed fishing for flounder with his family and friends.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being in the outdoors. George loved spending time with the family especially the grandchildren. He also loved weekend trips to his mountain property in Luzerne County. George was proud of his achievements in obtaining his boiler license, his HVAC certification, and his 2 patents. He never met an engine that he couldn’t fix; he was the Ultimate Mr. Fix-It and loved to build and fix things.

George was a hardworking, intelligent man who had a great sense of humor and loved being the center of attention. He had a tender heart underneath his tough exterior. George was forever playful in that he enjoyed teasing others and had pet names for everyone.

In addition to his wife, “Reds”, he is survived by his two sons, Eric “Bear” Brandon Alexander & wife, Lisa of Wahiawa, HI, Brett “Bee” David Alexander & wife, Laurie of Mont Clare, PA; his daughter, Amanda “Panda” Leigh Annis & husband, Matthew of Gillette, NJ; his seven grandchildren – Kevin, Kaylie, Gabriel, Eleanor, Lucian, Theodore, & Cordelia; his two brothers, Wayne Alexander & wife, Rita of Lebanon, PA, Paul Alexander & wife, Elaine "Laney" of Harleysville, PA; and his sister, Janice Butterfield & husband, Monte of Roslyn, PA.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 11:00 am at Calvary Church, 820 Souderton Road (Route 113), Souderton, PA 18964. Inurnment will take place at Calvary Church Cemetery.
