Actress. Former wife of actor Hal Holbrook (1925-2021). On September 21, 1945, Ruby Johnston, 22, and Hal Holbrook, 20, married at the Little Church Around the Corner, in New York City. The couple had two children, Victoria and David Holbrook, before divorcing in 1965. Ruby Holbrook developed breast cancer not long after her divorce from Hal Holbrook, surviving the disease as well as a later recurrence, and later died at ripe age of 95. She was survived by children Victoria and David, and two grandchildren, Abigail and Will Holbrook.
