"Mrs. Birdie Senn Polson, 68, of 1420 Lucas St., Cayce, died Tuesday In a local nursing home. Services will be 3 p.m. today in Thompson Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. E.C. Crouch, with burial in Southland Memorial Gardens. Pallbeares will be Bob Strickland, John Daughtry, Buster Starnes, Murphy Gardner, Mike Osborne and Dennis Russ. Mrs. Polson was born in Lexington County. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Verneas Stanley of Cayce, Mrs. Gretta Duncan of Oceanside Calif.; and Mrs. Evonne Blackwell of Moyock, N.C.; five sisters, Mrs. Lola Phillips of Charlotte, N.C., Mrs. Ruth Starnes of Mooresville, N.C., Mrs. Walter B. Pearce, Mrs. Marland Palmer and Mrs. Earline Osborne of Charlotte; eight grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren."
