ANNETTE'S OBITUARY
LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Annette Outen Wright, age 86, went to her heavenly home February 3, 2021 at MUSC Lancaster Health. She lost the battle to Covid-19 on earth, but she is breathing fresh heavenly air, no dementia, and no pain and suffering. She was met by the love of her life and her Savior and Lord. She was the widow of Ted O. Wright. Annette was born November 29, 1934 in Lancaster to the late Talmadge Outen and Mattie Miller Outen. She attended Lancaster County Schools and retired from Springs Industries after 41 years of service having worked at the Lancaster Plant and the Leroy Plant. Annette was a charter member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She served in the nursery, worked with the GA’s and sang in the choir. She was an avid Gamecock fan and enjoyed spending nine months each year at Springmaid Beach campground which she did for almost 27 years.
Annette loved and cherished her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her family. Each person held a special place in her heart, especially the little ones and her many friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa W. Brown (Danny), Jan W. Williamson (Mike) of Lancaster; one son, John Timothy Wright (Jeaneane) of Charlotte; six grandchildren, Dana B. Funderburk (Tim), Teddi B. Robinson (Will), Mary Beth Hileman (Jarrod), Robert Brown, Jon Michael Williamson (Mary Beth), and James Ted Wright; thirteen great grandchildren, Daniel (Cassidy-fiance’), Deanna, Dominique, Kieara, Tripp, Blythe, Dylan, Gage, Rylan, Isaiah, Sawyer, Kase and Sutton; a brother, Marion E. Outen; a sister, Connie O. Agee (John); sister in law, Nickye C. Outen, two brothers in laws, A. W. Wright and Carl Wright (Shelby); numerous nieces and nephews; her beloved fur baby, Pepper and her special caregivers, Kathy Roddy and Becky Barton.
Annette was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, James H. Outen; a sister, Linda O. Wilson; a sister-in-law, Judy T. Outen and a brother-in-law, Elvin D. Wright, Sr.
A Graveside Service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Lancaster Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Tim Anderson. Social distancing will be practiced and face coverings are required.
The family will receive friends following the service and suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 1152 Great Falls Hwy., Lancaster, SC 29720 or Antioch Baptist Church, 3052 Taxahaw Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
A special heartfelt thank you to her nurses from MUSC Lancaster Health for their special care and an extra special thanks to the ER staff, the ICU-COVID nursing staff, and another special heartfelt thanks to the most caring and compassionate doctor, Dr. Carlos Albrecht.
