Mary Ruth Hughes Craig
October 29, 1933 - January 29, 2021

Mary Craig is descended from three pilgrims and said she has three Mayflower descendants. "My grandkids, they really enjoy it," she said. Craig said she has pictures of pilgrims around the house for the holiday and someone asked her grandson who they were. "He said, 'They're our relatives,'" she said. As always, she will offer a toast to her ancestors this Thanksgiving. But as proud as she is of her Mayflower connection, Craig keeps it all in perspective. "After all, I think the Indians were here first," she said.
Mary was a long time member of Tulsa Genealogical Society. She was an active member of the Mayflower Society, the DAR, and the 1812.
There is no mention of the names of her parents.
She died Friday night after steadily declining the last couple years. She was cremated. No funeral services are planned. There may be a family memorial either here or in Texas at the home of her daughter.
