Donald Dale Linder entered the gates of heaven on January 29, 2021, surrounded by those that loved him most. He was born in Austin, Texas on January 14, 1944 to parents Dale and Isabelle Linder. He was a loving husband to Virginia Lee Joy, the love of his life. On February 1, they would have shared their 58th wedding anniversary.
Donald met Virginia at Henly Baptist Church in 1956 where Don's dad was the pastor. They married on February 1, 1962 and settled in Henly on the Joy Ranch. Soon after they welcomed their firstborn daughter Laurie and one year later their second daughter Stephanie.
Donald was a trusted friend and a willing helper to anyone who asked for his assistance. He was a salesman for Cornwell Tools for a number of years and became a District Sales Manager, training others to sell tools. Donald had a local garage for many years and gained many loyal customers and friends. His greatest love was preaching, teaching, and sharing Jesus with everyone he met.
Donald is survived by his wife Jen; daughter Laurie and her husband Brad May; daughter Stephanie and her husband Larry Love. Four grandchildren, Patrick and Robert Singleton and Ryan and Cooper Love and one great grandchild Wrenlee Singleton. He is also survived by his older brother Bernie, Bernie's wife Patsy and their son Richard Linder; Sister-in-law Lorraine Joy, sister-in-law Germaine Joy and nieces Kari Moreland and Patricia Bushnell. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Isabelle, and his brother Richard.
The viewing and visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00PM on Wednesday, February 3rd at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home in Blanco, Texas. The graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 4 at 11:00AM at Blanco Cemetery.
