Nancy L. Nelson, 73, of Franksville, passed away in her home on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, surrounded by her family.

Nancy was born on January 24, 1948 in Milwaukee, WI. She was the daughter of Eugene and Dorothy (née Ziolkowski) Grabowski. She grew up on the south side of Milwaukee, where she attended St. John Kanty School for elementary and middle school, and then graduated from Pulaski High School.

On August 14, 1971 Nancy was united in marriage to Neil Nelson in Milwaukee, WI. Following marriage they made their home in Cudahy, before moving to Union Grove and finally settling in Franksville, where they have lived for the last 28 years.

Nancy worked at Dye, Folely, Krone and Shannon Law Office as a paralegal, and was a member of the Wisconsin Association for Legal Professionals. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, sewing and long rides on the Harley, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Neil; children: Rick (Lori) Nelson, Mark (Karen) Nelson, Scot Nelson, and Noel Nelson; grandchildren: Nicole, Brett, Rachel, Brandi, Brianna, Kari, Tyler, Sierra, and Paige, great- grandchildren: Kaleb, Beverly, Charlotte, Penelope, Easton, and Marlene. She is also survived by her siblings: Gina Orendorff, Kathy Barutha, and Gregory Barutha; as well as many other relatives and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Nancy Nelson.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of Aurora at Home Hospice for all of their guidance and compassionate care.

A possible future memorial service in the summer will be determined.
