DEATH RECORD: DeRuyter Gleaner, Thursday, 18 Apr 1918, p. 8; Gooseville, 16 Apr-Two weeks ago Mrs. Ray Dennis was removed to the hospital with the hope that the treatment would be beneficial, but she failed to rally and passed away last night. Her husband and parents have the sympathy of their friends and neighbors in their bereavement.
OBITUARY: DeRuyter Gleaner, Thursday, 25 Apr 1918, p. 1; In Memoriam, Mrs. Ray Dennis entered into rest on Monday evening, April 15, 1918. Ella Jacobe Dennis, the only daughter of George and Mary Jacobe and beloved wife of Ray C. Dennis, was born March 9, 1893, and was married to Ray C. Dennis November 23, 1910. February 1, 1912, a son was born and on August 21, 1912, after a brief life of only six months, Earl G. Dennis passed into the world beyond. Mrs. Dennis was laid at rest in the Fabius Evergreen cemetery beside her little son. The funeral was held at Fabius M.E. church April 18th. We wish to extend our thanks to all who helped in any way and to Mrs. Mary Springer and sisters for flowers carried to the hospital, and all others who gave flowers and assisted us during our bereavement. Jacobe, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jones and family. p. 6; Faibus, 22 Apr-The wife of Ray Dennis passed away at a Syracuse hospital and was brought here for burial alst week Thursday. The funeral was held in the M.E. church and the Rev. O.D. Fisher preached the sermon. There was a large attendance from the east part of the town, where the deceased had always lived and several out of town people were also present.
