GREENSBORO – Mrs. Joan Webb Evans, 82, died Friday, January 29, 2021 at Friends Homes Guilford. A private family viewing and funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Forbis and Dick Guilford Chapel on Friendly Avenue with Pastor Ronnie Scott of Belews Creek Baptist Church officiating. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. 
Mrs. Evans was born March 28, 1938 in Spray, NC to the late Frank N. Webb and Sallie Patterson Webb. She worked for years in cosmetics at Belk’s Department Store Friendly Center before retiring. Mrs. Evans enjoyed traveling, cruises, RV camping with family, gardening, flowers and especially painting still life. She loved family gatherings, country cooking, playing with grandchildren and attending events celebrating their accomplishments. A devoted mother and grandmother, she lived to share 5 generations with great-great grandchildren. She loved the Lord, her family and attended chapel at Friends Homes. 
She is survived by 4 children: Wanda Scott and husband Ronnie of Greensboro, Marty Eggers of Greensboro, Tammy Elliott and husband Scott of Greenville, NC and Jonathan Evans and wife Jeanna of Archdale, NC; Brother William Webb, Charles Webb, and Danny Webb; Sisters Janie Rierson, Mary Fox, Patricia Welker; and grandchildren, Christina Chavis, Kimberly Mansfield, Heather Chrisco, Tonya Carter, Jeremiah Elliott, Mikeala Pogue, Zachary Elliott, Noah Elliott, Elizabeth Evans, Katherine Evans; 12 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David E. Evans; Brothers Frank T. Webb and James Webb; Sister, Revonda Jenkins, and grandson Tony Eggers.
