Mrs. Cathy Ann Jenkins, 66, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford, MS. The funeral service will be Saturday, March 7, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. from Anchor Baptist Church near Oxford with Brother Gerald Shook officiating. Burial will follow in Campground Cemetery near Water Valley, MS. Visitation will be Friday, March 6, 2020, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Waller Funeral Home in Oxford, MS, and again Saturday beginning at 10:00 A.M. from Anchor Baptist Church.

Born in Oxford to the late J.T. and Annie Jones Henderson, she was the administrative assistant with the United States Forestry Service. Anybody that knew Mrs. Cathy knew that she had a wonderful sense of humor. In a loving manner, Cathy was always poking fun and picking on people. That was her way of saying, “I love you.” She loved playing cards and could not tolerate losing. She loved winning and was quite accomplished at doing so. She enjoyed discussing politics and was always up for a good debate. For over 35 years, she was a loyal and faithful member of Anchor Baptist Church. Above all, she loved her family. She often could be seen picking up her grandchildren from school. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Nicole Jenkins and by her brother, Johnny Henderson.

Survivors include her husband, Brad Jenkins of Taylor, MS, a man Cathy characterized as having the patience of a saint to stay married for 41 years; 2 sons, Brad Jenkins, Jr. and his wife, Kelley of Oxford, MS, and Chris Jenkins and his wife, Lauren of Water Valley, MS; 2 grandchildren, MaryAli and Hayden Jenkins; her sister, Darlene Sobus and husband, Tim of Johnsburg, IL; 3 nieces, Melissa Harper of Etowah, TN, Jamie Milazzo of Crystal Lake, IL, and Carrie Madden of Volo, IL. By marriage, she is also survived by 15 additional nieces and nephews.
