Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Faith Moore; brother, Wallace "Sonny" Ratliff; and "Joe kid" Harrod.
David was a member of the Kingswood Wesleyan Church and River Trace Golf Course. He loved his Golf, UK, kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. He had a special place in his heart for his family, especially the kids.
He is survived by his: loving wife of over 45 years, Earlene Ratliff; children, Bryan (Becky) Ratliff of Irvington, Amy Ratliff of Irvington, Michael (Melissa) Ratliff of Hope Mills, NC, Jimmy Hays of Brandenburg, Mary Ann Dowell of Irvington, Joseph Hays of Brandenburg; sister, Martha Ratliff of Garland, TX; brother, Kenneth (Dorothy) Ratliff of Dewey, OK; grandchildren, David Hays of Brandenburg, Charles A. Hays of Irvington, James A. Hays of New Orleans, LA, Mikayla Ratliff of Lexington, Samantha (Chastity) Dupin of Elizabethtown, D. Craig Salazaar of Brandenburg, Annie G. Ratliff and Olivia P. Ratliff both of Hope Mills, NC; great-grandkids, Nicholas Temple of Booneville, Dasin A. Hays of Irvington, Noelle M. Hays of Radcliff, Adrian Dowell of Flaherty, and Zackariah Dupin of Elizabethtown.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 4-8:00 P.M. EST and Friday after 9:00 AM EST. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday at 2:00 P.M. EST with burial to follow in the Raymond Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. John Bruington officiating.
