He served proudly in the U. S. Army during WW2 in Germany. He attended Marinatha Baptist Church in Jeffersonville. He retired from Colgate Palmolive where he worked for 40 years. After retiring from Colgate, he worked at the Louisville Auto Auction for 19 years.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years Lucille Barnett of Jeffersonville, IN; daughter Vickie Mayfield and her husband James of Jeffersonville, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parentsr Delbert and Bessie Mahoney Barnett;, sister Catherine Best and brother Charles Barnett.
