Bart, 60, of East Lansing, passed away on January 29, 2021 in Lansing, Michigan. Bart married Mary Lee Jones on May 10, 1960. He moved to Lansing, Michigan in 1968, and graduated from Everett High School in 1978.
He was a very caring, friendly, and generous man of faith. He was also a devoted University of Michigan fan. He was a military Veteran and served his tour in Desert Storm as a Medic. He had many careers throughout his life, however he loved being on the road driving his truck. He worked at Jack Cooper Transportation Company for the last 5 years.
After 20 years of companionship, on February 22, 2020, he married the love of his life, Malinda Vertrees. Bart was a wonderful husband and dedicated father and loved attending his children’s sports events, where he was their biggest fan. He was the best commentator at their games and the official’s worst nightmare. He loved family Sunday dinners, barbeques, and his 2019 sparkling white Dodge Challenger.
Bart is preceded in death by his brothers Paul Jones and Lamarr Jones, his brother in-law Timothy Vertrees II, grandparents Amanda Mary (Momma) Jones, and Loren Jones.
