Born June 1, 1933, in Nanticoke, PA, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Irene (Soboleski) Shamis.
Her husband of 45 years, Alva J. Cooper, passed away March 13, 1999.
She was last employed as a demonstrator for Giant Food Stores for 13 years. Previously, she worked for the Easton Area School District in the high school cafeteria for 28 years.
Carolyn enjoyed bingo, eating seafood and watching Lawrence Welk.
Surviving are two sons, Alva C. Cooper and his wife Leanora, of Palmer Township and Kevin R. Cooper and his wife Lisa, of Palmerton; three grandsons, Jason and his wife Brianna, Justin and his wife Corinn, Jeremy and his wife Maria and two great-granddaughters, Penelope and Charlise.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family under the direction of the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
