Mr. Jolgen, who was born in Rose Lake, Idaho, died Wednesday. He was a 50-year Spokane resident and retired as a conductor from Amtrak in 1986. He was a member of the United Transportation Union, the National Association of Retired and Veteran Railroad Employees, and Eagles Lodge 2.
He is survived by his wife of 53 yeras, Ruth Jolgen, one daughter, Dianne Cline of Spokane; brothers James and Bill Jolgen, both of Kirkland, Wash., and Kenneth Jolgen; and five grandchildren.
