Jerry Jordan, 81, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Jerry was born November 30, 1939 in Ralls, Texas to Ferris “Shorty” and Ruth Jordan. He attended Lubbock High School. Jerry went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army from 1957-1977, several of which he served in Vietnam and Alaska. He married Glenda Crawford on July 20, 1963 at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Jerry retired as Sargent First Class in 1977. After his retirement from the military, he made Crosbyton his home. He also sold insurance and did hospital work. He owned a drive-in restaurant. In his spare time, Jerry loved to travel and work on computers. He enjoyed talking to his buddies about the war. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Tracy Jordan. Survivors include his wife, Glenda Jordan; a son, Damon Jordan and wife Zanna of Ft. Worth; a daughter, Dena Jordan and husband Amador Villasenor, Jr. of Amarillo; a sister, Peggy Ellison of Crosbyton; three brothers, Gary Jordan of Granbury, Eddie Jordan of Lubbock, and Charley Jordan of Crosbyton; four grandchildren, Ashleigh Pereida, Anthony Pereida and wife Sarah, Kobie Jordan, and Lynzee Jordan; and two great-grandchildren, Karter Pereida and Kinzley Pereida.
