Born in East Liverpool, Ohio on April 11, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Julian and Helene (Heffner) Wilson.
Sandy graduated from Oak Glen High School, class of 1965. She was a retired cook from Hancock County Schools. Sandy was a faithful member of the Virginia Ave Church of Christ. She was a member of the 4-H program, WV 4-H All Star, and a leader for the Ellwood 4-H Club. Sandy was the Treasurer of Newell Youth League, she coached T-Ball and played Women’s Softball.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Stephanie Spencer, and a brother-in-law, James Carbone.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted and loving husband of 51years Donald “Dean” Spencer of Lennyville; two sons, Donald Dean Spencer II (Tammy Cooper) of Weirton and Daniel (Joanna) Spencer of Salineville; five grandchildren, Kari, Zachery, Jonah, Jacob and Hunter; a great-grandchild, Harper; a brother, David (Joce) Wilson of Florida; five sisters, Carolyn Carbone of WV, Janet (David) Malcomson of East Liverpool, Becky (David) McKitrick of Lennyville, Rea (Barry) Sellers of Alabama, and Amy (Bill) McKitrick of WV; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Virginia Ave Church of Christ, Chester, WV. Interment will follow in Locust Hill Cemetery, Chester, WV. The Nixon Funeral Home, Newell, WV handled arrangements.
