Rev. Jack L. Jenkins,79, of Toledo, IL, passed away at 5:23 PM, Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday evening at Calvary Tabernacle with the funeral being held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, February 10, also at Calvary Tabernacle in Toledo. Private family burial will be in the Toledo Cemetery on Thursday. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo is assisting the family with services. Please practice social distancing. Masks will be required while attending services. Due to the pandemic, Kevin and family would appreciate phone calls and cards in the coming days ahead for those who are not comfortable attending services for Jack.

Jack was born in Louisville, IL on October 5, 1941, the son of Joseph and Iva (Kenner) Jenkins. He married Charlene Edgar on May 25, 1963 in Modesto, CA. She preceded him in death on March 15, 2016. He is survived by his son, Kevin (Stephanie) Jenkins of Neoga; grandchildren, Hayley (Austin) Jabs and Nick Jenkins; great-grandchildren, McKinley and Penelope Jabs; brother, Rex Lacky of Fresno, CA; and sister Queda Headlee of Flora, IL. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Jenkins and his mother Iva Lackey.

Jack was a minister for 43 years at Calvary Tabernacle in Toledo, IL. For many years, he was also a bus driver for the Cumberland School District. He was the Foreign Missions Director for the State of Illinois for 43 years and a member of the United Pentecostal Church International in St. Louis, MO.
