Mr. Kenneth F. Wood, age 77, of Hampton, passed away February 1, 2021 at his home. He was born in Sand Ridge, WV, son of the late Faye Wood and Bliss Bourne Wood. Kenneth was both fiercely independent and extremely private and always lived life on his own terms. He loved his family, his dogs and his goats. He enjoyed spending time at the beach and camping in his RV. He proudly served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp. He was a farmer, a soldier, a businessman, and an entrepreneur. Even more importantly, he was a son, a brother, a husband, a father and a grandfather – he will be missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jewell Vargas Wood. He is survived by his sons, Shaun (Greta) Wood and Brett (Joanne) Wood and his step-son, Gerald Brown. Brothers, Ron Wood, Dean Wood, Robert Wood and sisters, Sharon Behner and Karen Prevot. Grandchildren: Katherine Wood, Evelyn Wood, Thomas Wood, Patrick Wood, Seth Wood and Kenneth R. Wood.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 15, 10 a.m., at the Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, GA 30114. Pastor Chris Watson will officiate.
