Tony was the son of Ruby (Plowman) Duchscher and stepson to Nick Duchscher of North Dakota. His biological father was JC Harris of Texas. He was born in Abilene, Texas and was raised in Filmore, North Dakota.

Tony honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1960 to 1964 and achieved the rank of Lance Corporal. The highlight of his military career was being assigned to VMFA 531 (“Grey Ghosts”) and protecting our country during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He proudly wore his squadron pins as a veteran. Tony retired from General Motors V-8 Engine Plant after 31 years of employment. Tony was an active member of the Frankenmuth Conservation Club, member of SS Francis and Clare Parish, and the Knights of Columbus in Birch Run.

Tony was an avid hunter and always enjoyed his trips to North Dakota to hunt with brothers, cousins, uncles, nephews, sons, son in law and friends. He was a gifted storyteller and greatly enjoyed attending his cherished grandchildren’s extra-curricular activities. He made an amazing impact on many lives and was generous with his love as a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Jeanne Duchscher, his littlest angel daughter Debra Harris, and beloved cousin in brotherhood Carl Duchscher.
