Gene married Judy Walker Butler and had four children. He spent most of his years working, hunting in Oklahoma, Nebraska and Kansas and fishing in Oklahoma and Arkansas. Gene was the life of the party. He never met a stranger and could tell the best stories and jokes. Gene Jones resided in Warner, Oklahoma for many years. As he got older, he spent a lot of his time with his granddaughter Allie.
He left this world to be with Jesus on January 27th, 2021. Gene was preceded in death by his father, Charles Jones; mother, Ora Juanita Woods; stepfather, Grady Wood; brother, Roger Jones; and son, Jeff Jones.
He is survived by siblings, Karen and Ricky Dixon of Warner, Debbie and Carl Shipley of Warner, Jody Jones of Muskogee and Ginny Honea of Tulsa; children, Tracy and Roger Taylor of Muskogee, Terry and Jerry Jones of Odessa, TX; two granddaughters, Ashley Jones of Saint Augustine, FL and Allie and Jr. Fortney of Oktaha, OK; four great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and countless friends.
If you would like to come pay your respects as we lay a great man to rest there will be a graveside service done by Brother Hawpe at Bennett Cemetery in Warner, OK at 1pm, Saturday, February 6, 2021. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Walker, Bobbie Edwards, Ricky Dixon, Andy Shipley, Carl Shipley, and Pete Peterson.
