Cassie Faye Goad Pelley Williams left the arms of her children to the arms of God on Sunday January 31, 2021. She was born in Sunbright, Tennessee on June 16, 1932 to Elbert & Etta Goad.
Cassie was a graduate of Roane County Vocational School and a teacher's aide in Morgan County until 2002. She loved working with children, Miss Amy and all the staff. In 1974 she met and married Clifford Williams of Lancing
She was a lifelong Christian with her church family being Boswell Chapel Baptist Church. She truly lived her faith. Her children knew the power of her prayers.
Cassie was a devoted mother and grandmother even as the ravages of Alzheimer took away her independaence. Each child was special to her. Each grandchild was special to her. And she was extra special to all of them.
She was preceded in death by her parents Elbert & Etta(Brock) Goad; Husbands Larry Pelley & Clifford Williams; brother Ray Goad; sisters Joyce Goad & Minnie(Noah) Jones and son-in-law Steven Thaxton.
Cassie is survived by her three children and their families: Linda Pelley(Willie)York, Brenda Pelley (Mac) Thaxton Edington David(Meg) Pelley. Her sister Oma Goad Cochran and 9 grandchildren, chad, Darrick, Eric, Paul Stefanie, Sarah, Luke, Levi and Abby.
The family will have a graveside service Wednesday Februrary 3, 2021 at 1:00 at the Anndell Cemetery in Lancing with Bro Robert Laymance & Bro Kerry Ruppe Officiating.
