Mrs. George worked for Cattaraugus County for 32 years at the Machias Pines Nursing Home as well as the County DPW in Little Valley. Grace enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting as well as spending time with her family; she never missed a birthday or an anniversary celebration.
Besides her loving husband of 61 years, Grace is survived by a son, Donald George of Little Valley, and two daughters; Susan (Mark) Meacham of Denton, NC, and Barbara Hovey of East Otto. Also surviving are four brothers; Joseph (Ora) Green of Little Valley, Albert (Patricia) Green of Little Valley, Douglas (Shirley) Green of PA, and Dwayne Green of Little Valley. Grace is also survived by two sisters; Alta Criss of Little Valley and Wilma (Joe) Austin of Salamanca, as well as three grandchildren; Kyle, Raymond, and Stella, and four great-grandchildren; Roman, Leo, Jason, and Ember, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Grace is predeceased by a brother, Arthur Green and four sisters; Chrstine and Thelma Green, Shirley Beers, and Irene Hensel.
Private family services will be held.
Burial will be in Maples Cemetery.
